Doug flew to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to work on Ryan Dunlap's neo noir thriller GREYSCALE. He plays a vicious hitman named Jamison, and you can see some behind-the-scenes shots and a video here.

DOUGIE DOWN UNDER!!!! Doug headed out to New Zealand to attend the ARMAGEDDON PULP EXPO in Auckland, New Zealand, where he also did press for the HELLBOY II: THE GOLDEN ARMY DVD, and then flew to Melbourne, Australia, to meet fans at the ARMAGEDDON EXPO AUSTRALIA convention.

9th to 17th October, 2008

Doug filmed his major role in the new movie ANGEL OF DEATH, starring Zoë Bell and due to be released in episodes on Sony Picture Entertainment's online video network crackle.com. It will be released later on DVD in 2009.

14th July to 5th August, 2008

Doug flew back to his home state of Indiana to film MY NAME IS JERRY, directed by good friend and fellow Ball State Alumnus Morgan Mead. This unique production, filmed in Muncie Indiana, was a co-production between Clothespin Films and Ball State University and is the first time a professionally-produced film has been crewed by a mix of industry professionals and film students. The film is due for release in 2009.

Doug flew to Mexico with cast members Ron Perlman and Selma Blair and director Guillermo del Toro to attend the premiere of HELLBOY II: THE GOLDEN ARMY, first in Mexico City, and then he travelled to Monterrey to a second premiere with Selma Blair. See the pictures here.

July 1st brought a very special celebration - Guillermo del Toro, along with Universal Studios, arranged a special private screening of HELLBOY II: THE GOLDEN ARMY for fans at the Linnwood Dunn Theatre, Westwood, Los Angeles. Together with cast members Selma Blair, Luke Goss, Anna Walton and, of course, Guillermo and Mike Mignola, Doug was thrilled to join fans for the screening, a Q & A and a fabulous after-party. It became known as ... the HELLEBRATION.

HELLBOY II: THE GOLDEN ARMY had its world premiere at the Majestic Crest Theatre, Los Angeles, and Doug and Laurie joined co-stars Ron Perlman, Selma Blair, Luke Goss and Jeffrey Tambor, along with director Guillermo del Toro and HELLBOY creator Mike Mignola and their families as the film hit the big screen for the first time. Doug and Laurie joined other celebrities at the 34th Annual Saturn Awards, and Doug was honoured to present friend Guillermo del Toro with the George Pal Lifetime Achievement Award, and was also delighted to see his film CABINET OF DR. CALIGARI win the award for Best DVD.

Doug flew to Edmonton, Alberta, Canada to film a starring role in NBC's new supernatural thriller series Fear Itself. Doug's episode, 'Skin & Bones,' was directed by Larry Fessenden and screened on July 31st, 2008. Read the critics' reaction to Doug's performance here.

Doug attended the NEW YORK COMIC CON and joined HELLBOY II: THE GOLDEN ARMY cast members Ron Perlman, Selma Blair and Luke Goss along with director Guillermo del Toro to do a panel where they showed a 'sizzle reel' to a standing-room only crowd. Doug was deeply honoured to be asked to attend the National Prayer Breakfast at the Washington Hilton Hotel, Washington D.C., with an address by President George W. Bush, and he also was a keynote speaker at the following luncheon hosted by Media Fellowship International, of which he is a member.
