Doug spent a wonderful few days working on Kelly Parks' web series UNIVERSAL DEAD, an ingenious twist on the zombie legend. Doug plays the eccentric and slightly unbalanced but brilliant Doctor Vataber, and co-stars with Gary Graham, D.B. Sweeney and Valerie Perez. See behind-the-scenes pictures here.

Doug and Puppy Wayne Borowski attended the STARLIGHT CHILDREN'S FOUNDATION HALLOWEEN PARTY in Las Vegas, Nevada, and had an amazing time meeting some awesome young people and their families. You can see LOTS of pictures here!

Doug was delighted to be invited to be a panellist at the 140 CHARACTERS CONFERENCE in Los Angeles, where he and fellow panellists discussed the impact of TWITTER on the celebrity/fan relationship. See the video of the panel here.

24th & 25th October, 2009

Pigeon Forge, Tennessee is the home of ADVENTURECON 2009, and Doug spent a fantastic two days touching base with countless fans and also taking part in PJ parties, LaserTag, dinner at Taco Bell and other adventures with his Fan-Sapiens! Lots of pictures, stories and videos here!

17th & 18th October, 2009

This time it was the beautiful fall colours of east-coast America that beckoned, and Doug attended the ROCK & SHOCK convention in Worcester, Massachusetts. Pictures and a report at the link.

Doug filmed a cameo in the indie movie LIGHTS OUT and attended the after-party with cast and crew at Far Nientes in Glendale, CA. Pictures here.

26th & 27th September, 2009

Gorgeous Maryland was calling, and Doug attended the HORRORFIND WEEKEND convention in Baltimore. There he met up not only with his gang of Fan-Sapiens among the countless fans, but also Fan-Sapien-in-Training Noelle Sinck. Dougie and Puppy James E. 'JimmyStiXs' Roberts hit the road to attend the ROUTE 66 INERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL and see MY NAME IS JERRY win Best Feature, and have some exciting (and hair-raising!) adventures along the way! Doug Joined Steve Niles and Victor Salva at DARK DELICACIES in Burbank to promote the DVD release of the FEAR ITSELF horror anthology.

Doug headed south to beautiful Georgia to attend the huge DRAGON*CON in Atlanta. There he spent several days meeting hordes of wonderful visitors and meeting up with Fan-Sapiens Carly, Telly, Katy and Michele. Oodles of pictures, reports and videos here.

Back again to one of Wizard World's fantastic conventions, this time in Chicago, where Doug not only connected with fans but also hung out with some of his precious Fan-Sapiens, some of whom had travelled long distances to meet him. Pictures, reports and videos here.

Doug had a very hectic few days at this year's SAN DIEGO COMIC CON publicising SUPER CAPERS, LEGION and ANGEL OF DEATH as well as having fun mingling with fans.

Doug and Laurie attended the 35th Annual Saturn Awards in Burbank, California, and were delighted to see HELLBOY II: THE GOLDEN ARMY take the prize for Best Horror Film. They later attended an after-party hosted by Highlander Films.

20th ~ 21st June, 2009

Wizard World Philadelphia welcomed Doug and fellow HELLBOY II: THE GOLDEN ARMY alumnus James Dodd, where they had a ball meeting fans. Read a terrific report from Fan Sapien Carly Smith with pictures and LOTS of videos!

Back home in California, Doug attended the first ever Monsterpalooza Convention in Burbank with fellow HELLBOY II: THE GOLDEN ARMY alumnus, the amazing John Alexander. He met up with Fan Sapien Anoray, who, after months of secret planning, brought birthday presents from fans all over the world. It was christened ... OPERATION FAN MULE. 16th & 17th May, 2009

Doug flew to Novi, Michigan, to attend the Motor City Comic Con and mingle with fans. He also met up with Fan-Sapien Kate Daley, who surprised him with an early birthday present!

7th May, 2009

Doug and Laurie visited Muncie, Indiana, to attend a fund-raiser and test-screening of MY NAME IS JERRY, hosted by Ball State University and attended by cast members, crew and director Morgan Mead.

24th & 25th January, 2009

Doug took time off from filming in Paris to be a HELLBOY II: THE GOLDEN ARMY panel guest at the International Makeup Artists Trade Show at Alexandra Palace, London, U.K., where he was joined by his makeup team from PAN'S LABYRINTH and GAINSBOURG: Vie Héroïque , David Marti and Montse Ribe from DDT Efectos Especiales, Simon Webber, and the Oscar-nominated geniuses from Spectral Motion, Mike Elizalde and Thom Floutz.

4th January, 2009 ~ 24th April 2009

Doug flew to Paris, France, to begin a 4-month hitch filming the French-language film GAINSBOURG: Vie Héroïque (A Heroic Life) with director/writer Joann Sfar. The cameras rolled on 20th January, and filming wrapped at the end of April 2009
